Interpersonal Conflict

Conflict between people can be an inevitable outcome when working in teams. And not all conflict is unhealthy. In fact, reasonable levels of conflict can encourage diverse ideas and critical thinking. When managed appropriately, it can actually strengthen relationships in the long run. So conflict doesn’t always mean you have a big problem. However, when it goes unmanaged or unaddressed in some situations, it can have consequences for culture and morale.

Simply put, interpersonal conflict in the workplace refers to disputes or disagreements between individuals that arise from differences in personalities, work styles, values, or communication preferences. These conflicts can manifest in various ways, such as misunderstandings, arguments, or ongoing tension.
